I’m TJ Kleven, aka eurojax from The Internet.
I grew up in Alaska, I’ve spent a while in Colorado, played hockey, kept the same Subaru alive for an amount of time that now feels unreal, and own an insane 9-year-old Border Collie.
Everyone keeps telling me to go by Tyler, because acronym names are somehow now non-professional? I guess I would, but then some absolute muppet named Tyler Kleven decided to get drafted into the National Hockey League and take over my would-be brand. (Actually, he’s pretty awesome.)
I like the ocean, old cars, road trips, weird history, bad jokes, and stories.
For legal purposes, some details in the stories I tell may be exaggerated.
For entertainment purposes, absolutely not enough of them are.
What’s a eurojax?
eurojax (non-capitalized) is the screen name I’ve used since 2005 ish. I was obsessed with the movie Saving Private Ryan, and played video games under the moniker Pvt. Jackson (the sniper in the movie). Everyone started calling me Jax instead. Then, there we cool ways to play Counter-Strike by only using weapons from specific countries. Going “Euro” meant only using European manufactured weapons. There was eurojax, amerijax, etc. eurojax just stuck and became my pen name. It’s now my license plate on my car and I’m more likely to be called Jax than TJ sometimes. Now I’m 43 and go by eurojax on the Internet. Weird.
